Why we ask for recent Dental OPG (Oral X-Ray)?
In preparation for your child’s appointment with Kiddies Dental Care, it is important that you arrive with a recent Dental OPG (or Oral X-Ray) of your child. X-rays are a very important diagnostic tool needed when assessing your child’s dental treatment requirements. By having these available for your first appointment, our dentists will be able to fully assess your child and then advise on what will be the best treatment plan.
If you have a recent FULL mouth X-Ray, that was requested by your family dentist (NOT the small X-Rays taken in the chair during a dental visit) please bring these along with you.
Alternatively we have selected Radiologists that are able to take these x-rays and charge you a Medicare rebate only fee.
Please take your Referral Form, which is attached to your Welcome email, to the most convenient location from our recommended radiologists, and they will be more than happy to assist you and your child. By using one of our recommended radiologists, we are able to access your child’s X-Rays online prior to your appointment. You must call and book an appointment at any centre you wish to attend in advance

Prior to your OPG (oral x-ray) appointment, please watch this with your child as it shows there is nothing at all to be worried about.

Our Recommended Radiology Clinics
If you choose to have your X-rays taken at your local radiology clinic, please be aware that image quality can vary between clinics. If the images provided are not of a diagnostic standard, we may need to request that the X-rays be retaken at one of our recommended radiology clinics.
Please also ask your radiology clinic to email a copy of the X-ray images directly to you. You can then forward them to us at info@kiddiesdentalcare.com.au.
